Understand your current stress levels

As part of the Stress Control programme, you’ll have access to self-assessment questionnaires that you can complete at any time to understand and track your stress levels as you progress through the course.

These assessments help you measure changes in:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Overall wellbeing

We recommend completing an assessment before you begin so you have a clear baseline for comparison, and then repeating them throughout the course to see how things change over time.

12 video sessions

There are 12 structured video sessions, each focusing on a key aspect of understanding and managing stress.

The sessions are delivered by Dr Jim White, Consultant Clinical Psychologist and a leading expert in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). They are based on practical, evidence-based strategies designed to help you understand stress, regain a sense of control, and improve your wellbeing.

Each session builds on the last, helping you develop practical tools you can apply in everyday life.

Relaxation Tracks

The course includes guided relaxation tracks designed to help calm your mind and body and reduce physical symptoms of stress.

The main techniques used are:

  • Belly breathing
  • Progressive muscle relaxation
  • Mindfulness

You can personalise your experience by choosing:

  • Background music, voice only, or music only
  • Your preferred voice (Dr Jim White or Dr Ruth Jamieson)

Relaxation is personal, and we encourage you to try different options and find what works best for you.
